A visiting surgical team from the Netherlands agreed to perform difficult surgery on a patient that we brought to Vientiane from Muang Sing with her father. We helped them to have a good time while they were in Vientiane convalescing. Many of our friends and even the US Embassy were extremely helpful with activities and outings.
One of the visiting surgical team members even came to Muang Sing to visit the patient and visit the Butterfly Children's Development Center. Their spouse who designs clothes helped the students sew their own fitted skirts. The patient is now doing great and is very happy thanks to their help!
