This morning we helped three deaf students, two fathers and one grandmother leave their villages to go to the deaf school in Luang Prabang.

An Akha person will accompany them and translate between Akha and Lao.

Here is a picture of the deaf girl leaving her village, and a picture of the two boys at the bus station.

They should arrive in Luang Prabang tomorrow night.

If everyone agrees, the children will stay at the deaf school for nine months. It will be difficult for everyone because the children and their parents will not be able to communicate.
